In Detail ## Pressure Washing — Surfaces, Systems & Sealing Different surfaces need different approaches. Here's what we do and use across the most common Ayrshire jobs. ### Block paving driveways Hot-water rotary at 150-180 bar, 65°C. Biocide pre-treatment, full sweep, joints re-sanded with kiln-dried jointing sand and brushed in dry. Optional polymeric jointing for high-traffic drives — locks the joints permanently. ### Indian sandstone & limestone patios Lower pressure (100-130 bar), hot water 80°C, surface-cleaner attachment to avoid banding. Optional impregnating sealer (Lithofin MN Stain-Stop) extends life and stops re-staining for 3-4 years. ### Porcelain patios Light pressure, hot water and pH-neutral cleaner. Porcelain is virtually maintenance-free but jointing compound between tiles can stain — we deep-clean and re-pigment if needed. ### Decking Wood-safe rotary head, low pressure (80-100 bar), oxygen-bleach-based timber cleaner. Re-oiling or re-staining quoted as an add-on for the same visit if you want a complete refresh. ### Tarmac drives Lower pressure, surface cleaner only — never close-up lance work which damages the binder.
